24 December 2005 - The Rest of the Fours

I'm not over the cold that's been making the rounds of my office, so I couldn't really take advantage of the beautiful weather today. It was draining enough to get out to do a bit of grocery shopping. I also went into the bookstore, where I picked up Lilian Jackson Braun's The Cat Who Went Bananas for my mother, whose birthday is approaching. I find it hard to understand why these still get sold as mysteries, but Mom likes them and gifts are supposed to please the recipient. Ordinarily, I'd have also bought Johnny Damon's book for myself, but I'm too angry at the traitor.

Since I didn't do anything today but read and nap, I figured it was a good time to finish off the rest of the meme of the fours. I already wrote in some detail about places I've lived and jobs I've had. Here are simple lists for the rest:

    I will note that I really only watch the first two regularly. While I watched a lot of television as a child, since college, I rarely watch more than one or two shows a season all that regularly. The TV shows I've been most hooked on historically were Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Northern Exposure.

    Four Places You'd Rather Be Right Now
    There really isn't anywhere I'd rather be right now, so I listed four places I'd have gone had I not needed my vacation time for other things I'm planning. You might note that three of these are in the Southern hemisphere, where it is summer now and the fourth is, at least, warm. My favorite place to rather be is Italy, but December is not the best time of year for that.
