This will be brief as it is late and I'm exhausted. I spent most of the week in Los Angeles. My meetings on Wednesday and Thursday ran more or less from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with barely a break. There's really no reason they couldn't have scheduled the afternoon sessions to be just 15 minutes or so later, which would have allowed a decent lunch break. At least the meetings were interesting and more or less useful. Friday ended earlier, but I stopped by another building to talk to a few people. And it didn't end early enough for a flight at a decent hour.
The next time I decide a red-eye is less disruptive to my life than flying back on the weekend, please put me out of my misery. I got a couple of hours of low quality sleep and was more or less useless all weekend. Sigh.
On the plus side for the week, Theo Epstein is back!
