I had a very stressful week at work and writing about it would just make me angrier at a couple of people. In other news, I made an offer on a condo and am still waiting to hear if it's been accepted (or if the seller's will counter). So, it's a good time to do a meme, instead of whining or stressing out further. This one is from Shmuel, who is finally at least writing a little bit again.

1. Are you taller than your mom? Yes, and I have been so since I was about 9 years old. My mother is tiny.

2. What color is your shower curtain? It's tan, with a design of African animals.

3. What is the closest thing to you right now that is red? The blazer that I draped over the rocking chair instead of hanging up three days ago and still haven't put away, sigh.

4. What is your ring tone? I am the only person in North America who doesn't have a cell phone.

5. Does anything hurt on your body right now? My right elbow is slightly stiff, from carrying around boxes of books today.

6. What color is your favorite pillow?. I have a multicolor needlepoint pillow that I designed myself and am quite proud of. It has bits of pretty much every color of scrap tapestry yarn I had, worked in squares of Scotch stitch. But the backing is dark blue if you want a single color.

7. What is your favorite video game? I don't really play video games. I used to love pinball when I was a teenager, though.

8. Had a nap today? I tried to, but the neighbors were being too noisy. Either a herd of muskox or two young children were running up and down the stairs for ages.

9. .Gold or Silver? Definitely gold. I pretty much never wear silver.

10. Is there an animal that creeps you out? I'm not real fond of hyenas.

11. Who was the last person you rode an elevator with? Hmm, I think Chris and I left work at the same time on Friday.

12. Did you go ice skating as a kid? A few times and I was never any good at it.

13. Ever have stitches? Yes, but only in my mouth after having a tooth extracted as a child.

14. .Favorite non-alcoholic drink? Coffee, ideally from Celebes.

15. How long ago did you hug someone? Hmm, Robert was here a few weeks ago.

16. What's something you want to do before you die? I have a whole list.

17. Have you ever caught something on fire? Uh, do candles count? Actually, I scorched the top of my dresser when I was a teenager by burning a cone of incense without an incense holder.

18. Have you ever seen a ghost? Not that I'm aware of.

19. Have you ever seen northern lights? Yes, and I was suitably wowed.

20. Do you know how to use chop sticks? Yes. This is a survival skill if you ever plan to travel in Asia, of course.

21. Name something good that happened today? I sold 26 books to the used bookstores.

22. What room are you in? The living room.

23. Are you worried about something you can't control? Yes - reread the introductory paragraph.

24. Do you take daily medications? Is there anybody my age who doesn't?

25. Are you wearing nail polish? No. I'm hopeless with the stuff and only do fake nails if I want to be all dressy and useless.

26. What time is it? About 10:15 p.m.

27. Innie or Outie? Innie.

28. Ever used a Ouija board? Yes, but I never found any meaningful answers from one.

29. Sweet or Sour? Sour.

30. .Sun or Moon? I like each at appropriate times of day.

31. Favorite eye color of the opposite sex? It's not the sort of thing that I normally notice, but I suppose green. (Sorry, Robert.)

32. Time of day you were born? I was born at 6 a.m., thus starting a lifetime of keeping my mother up all night.

33. Do you know your blood type? O-negative. Yes, I know that's boring, but it wasn't within my control.

34. Do you know how to kill a zombie? I'd probably try fire, not that I expect the situation to come up.

35. What would you spend 5,000 dollars on right now? Closing costs on my condo purchase. I can't really come up with any impractical answers right now. Though five grand would almost certainly be enough to do some interesting traveling with.

36. Name something annoying to you. People going behind my back instead of telling me directly what's going on.

37. Which animal(s) remind you of yourself? Bears, as they are large and bad-tampered.

38. Whats your background on your computer? An entirely boring solid blue.

39. Did you grow up in the city or country? Suburbs.

40. Would you ever consider going on a reality tv show if offered a large sum of money? It would depend on the show and on how much money.

41. Have you flown in your dreams? I had a recurring dream as a child which involved my bicycle growing Pegasus-like wings. I think I've done the Superman style flying in dreams, too.

42. What's one thing you're really good at cooking? I make an awesome chocolate rum cheesecake.

43. Kisses or hugs? It depends on who the other party involved is, but I think that, in general, they're best in combination.

44. You have 10 dollars to spend in the dollar store... what do you get? Probably some dumb toy. I think the last thing I bought in a dollar store was silly putty.

45. Slurpee flavor? I have no idea what flavors Slurpees come in, but I assume they're all fairly detestable sweet things. If I get ices, I generally go for lemon.
