Areas of Unrest

12 December 2007 - Seeking Organizational Nirvana

I have reached a state of serious frustration with my lack of progress on unpacking. Mostly, it's because I seriously underestimated how much shelf paper I would need, so I haven't been able to finish dealing with the kitchen. I had to drive out to Chantilly this morning (for a class, which continues tomorrow) and took advantage of the hours at Lowe's to buy more shelf paper, so maybe I will finally finish it and be able to unpack the umpty ump mugs and wine glasses and the like. Except that I will probably just do a little bit and then sit down and read, since driving means I didn't get my usual quality reading time on the metro.

It would probably also be a good idea to find where I packed the belts, since I can't wear my hunter green suit unless I do so. (Many years ago I said, "I have as many fantasies about finding the perfect hunter green suit as I do about sex." So the suit is a pretty significant element of my wardrobe.)

And there were also all the organizing projects I started on before I moved. Sigh.
