I'm feeling somewhat more in control of things than I was last week, though I still have lots of stuff to do. I even got through about 3/4 of my list of things to do at work, which is pretty good since much of the list depends on other people returning calls and emails.
I did manage to get some of my travelogue updating done. The Newfoundland and Labrador travelogue is there and I even linked up the stuff about my trip to Missouri and Illinois back in July. I'm making progress on writing about Fiji and hoping to get it finished tomorrow.
The problem with three-day weekends is, of course, that one finds it easy to think there is lots of time to get stuff done. The complication is that I'm traveling later in the week, so there are things that really do need to get done, e.g. bill paying and the like. Filing is less urgent, but it makes life more pleasant. I did get some things put away and I'm slowly working my way through the annual clean-out of my desk drawer. The shredder has been fairly active in the process.
My biggest item of progress had to do with vacation planning, though. I have frequent flyer tickets not only to Madagascar in August, but also to Cambodia for next Christmas. There are, of course, always more places I want to go than there is time for, so it is always good to have some decisions made.
