The weather was fairly dreadful (though not as bad as predicted) but, other than that I had a good week. My dreaded business trip to Florida and Alabama got cancelled, which helped. (The trip was only dreaded because the only non-stop between Orlando and Huntsville had been sold out, making for a rather arduous itinerary.)
My major accomplishment of the week - well, of today, actually - was finishing the Fiji travelogue. I'll probably have some minor tweaks after my mother finds my typos and other people correct me on things I got wrong, but it's good for now.
I also made major progress on the Madagascar planning and, after a conversation with the travel agent on Thursday evening, I am way psyched for this. I'm going to be in some very out of the way places, which is exactly my speed. I love it when things are coming together.
Other good stuff includes seeing the movie "In Bruges" (violent, but very funny), getting in my registration for the Virginia Storytelling Gathering, and ordering tickets to the Kander and Ebb Celebration at Signature Theatre (Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Happy Time and The Visit). I am especially looking forward to The Visit, since I love the Durrenmatt play it is based on. Once I have the actual tickets, I can arrange a few other weekend things around them. Being busy always makes me happy.
